CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES
Join us in the Crafts Workshop Room throughout the day for a variety of fun, magical, make-and-take crafts. Unleash your creative spirit – no matter what your age or experience! Craft projects will vary throughout the day and include supervision/instruction. Your free-will donation ($2-$3 suggested) for materials is greatly appreciated.

sugar skullsMexican Sugar Skulls
Celebrate departed loved ones with a traditional craft borrowed from "el dia de los muertos," or "Day of the Dead."  Sugar skulls, or calaveras, decorate shrines in Mexico and elsewhere in connection with All Souls' Day, when it is believed the souls of departed loved ones can most easily communicate with the living.

maskAnimal Totem Masks
There is inherent magic in masquerade. The centuries-old practice of mumming has survived in the modern-day Halloween tradition of "trick or treat". Use black, white, or naturally-colored turkey feathers or glittery fall leaves to create a simple – yet beautiful – mask and transform yourself!>
runesBean Runes
Samhain, the Celtic New Year, is a traditional time for divination – or tapping our intuition to receive guidance for the coming year. Runes are one of many tools used for such purposes, and are easy to create using dried beans. Take them home in a special pouch and discover what they can reveal.
